Technical Lead, Innovative Mobility
Annie Chang is a DC transplant, who was born in Korea and raised in Vancouver, Canada. Annie holds a master’s degree in Transportation Engineering and bachelor’s degree in Urban Geography from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. As a Technical Lead for Innovative Mobility at ITS America, she leads research activities in shared-use mobility, multimodal transportation, and road safety. One of Annie’s primary research objectives is to explore the ever-evolving role of shared-use mobility in the transportation fabric of North America. Furthermore, Annie is interested in leveraging technology to create tools to improve road safety and equity for vulnerable road users and underserved populations. Prior to ITS America, Annie was a Transport Planner at the World Resources Institute where she led quantitative research and monitoring and evaluation efforts on the topic of road safety, air quality, and physical activity in developing countries, including those Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. In her free time, Annie loves to partake in artsy activities such as drawing and plant décor.
