This web resource provides the current and future ITS workforce with a web-based reference tool for making investments in ITS systems and services, by providing an updated understanding of ITS topics and focusing on the needs of developing countries as well as countries with economies in transition.
- Under sponsorship from the US Department of Transportation (USDOT) Intelligent Transportation Systems Joint Program Office (ITS-JPO), ITS America is conducting the Connected Vehicle Technology Scan and Assessment project. This two year scanning series will assess emerging, converging and enabling technologies outside the domain of mainstream transportation research. ITS America seeks technologies that will potentially impact state-of-the-art or state-of-the-practice in ITS deployment over the next decade, with an emphasis on the “connected vehicle.”
- ITS America completed a two-phase ITS Market Data Analysis (phase I report download), commissioned by USDOT RITA, to develop accurate and comprehensive estimates of the breadth and size of the U.S. and North American Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) markets. Prior to this study, the ITS industry, and particularly the private sector portion, had never been extensively characterized.
